FlyFishingDojo.com is a fly fishing education website designed to help beginners learn the sport through structured, free content organized around a belt progression system. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our site.

We strive to collect as little personal data as possible. Fly Fishing Dojo does not require account creation and does not collect personal information beyond what is described below.

Email Signup

Our "Join the Dojo" email signup forms collect the following information when you voluntarily subscribe:

  • Email address — the address you provide in the form
  • Source page — which page you signed up from (e.g., White Belt hub)
  • Timestamp — when you signed up
  • IP address — your network address at the time of signup

This data is stored securely on our server and is not shared with, sold to, or accessible by any third party. We use it solely to build a mailing list for future Fly Fishing Dojo updates. We do not send unsolicited email and you can request removal at any time (see Your Rights below).

Analytics — Only With Your Consent

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our site — but only if you allow it. Analytics does not run until you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you decline (or simply ignore the banner), no analytics cookies are set and your visit is not measured. The site works exactly the same either way.

If you accept, this service collects anonymous, aggregated data including:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Referring websites (how you found us)
  • General geographic location (country and region level, not precise location)
  • Device type, browser, and operating system
  • General browsing patterns across the site
